AUGUST 25, 2026 – Between the ebb of tourists toward the end of August and and their brief resurgence over Labor Day weekend, Tahoe locals get their own slice of summer. Join Lake Tahoe Pride locals and visitors for mingling and mixing at Cove East Beach just east of Tahoe Keys Marina on Tuesday August 25 from 5:30 p.m.
Consider bringing:
– your favorite human
– a light warm layer
– a frisbee or ball to toss
– a beach blanket if you want to lounge
– a towel if you plan to take a dip in the water
– something to snack on—and even to share
– something to sip, but no glass bottles—think safe and low-profile
– appropriate sun protection (as of 8/22, clouds are in the forecast)
– your leashed, well-behaved doggo—they’re welcome at this beach!
Invite a supportive friend or family member or just bring your authentic self.
DIRECTIONS: From Lake Tahoe Boulevard, turn west (toward the lake) onto Tahoe Keys Boulevard. Turn right onto Venice Drive East (about a mile down). As you approach Tahoe Keys Marina’s parking lot (half a mile down), find street parking along Venice Drive E. Take the trail at the end of Venice Drive E down it to the lake (about 1/3 mile). Look for the other queer people and allies at one of the first beaches you see!

Every Tuesday, Lake Tahoe Pride hosts a social mixer at a restaurant, brewery, bar, beach, or other welcoming venue around South Lake Tahoe. Our diverse weekly mixers are a way for LGBTQIA+ people above 6,000 feet to make connections, build community, and find an extra bright spot in the week.
