AUGUST 29, 2026 – Do you take pride in the amazing trails that wander and climb the terrain around Tahoe? Are you looking for a chance to roll up your sleeves one afternoon this summer with other LGBTQ+ and allied folks and give back to the trails that most definitely don’t build and maintain themselves?!

Sign up for the Annual Tahoe Pride Trail Day! People of all backgrounds and skill levels are welcome to join TAMBA (the Tahoe Area Mountain Biking Association) and the Tahoe Rim Trail Association (TRTA) for a trail work day.

WHEN: August 29, 2026 from 9:00am – 2:00pm
WHERE: Heavenly Tram at Cal Lodge (3860 Saddle Rd, SLT, CA.)
WHAT: After a short orientation and safety talk, we’ll ride or hike up to the worksite (Tahoe Vista Trail at the top of the tram). Enjoy some fellowship during and after. Registration helps with planning and keeps you informed about the event in case of changes!

Outdoor recreation and trails should be free of prejudice and accessible to all people. TRTA workdays and events are always open to all LGBTQ+ backgrounds, identities, and allies. Join other trail enthusiasts and nature lovers in celebration of our natural spaces, community, diversity, and inclusion while performing an act of service.

No trail building experience or tools are necessary; instructions will be given by Crew Leaders, and tools and personal protective equipment will be provided!

Wear / bring:

– Long Sleeve Shirt (required)

– Long Pants (required)

– Sturdy Shoes (over the ankle boots recommended if doing rockwork)

– Helmet (bike ok)

– Long Finger Gloves

– Eye protection

– Food/snacks for the day

– Sunscreen

– Plenty of liquids

– Backpack

– Rain gear, if thunderstorms are forecasted

The organizers will bring:

–  Leadership, instruction, and enthusiasm!

–  Tools

– Gloves, hard hats, and eye protection for those who can’t provide their own.
