CELEBRATE “GAYPRIL” WITH LTCC AT RETROACTIVE ARCADE

APRIL 30, 2026 – The wonderful folks at LTCC’s impactful and important Equity & Student Wellness Program invite us to join them as guests for a very special all-ages social at the fabulous and fun Retroactive Arcade on Thursday, April 30, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m.

Our LTCC hosts have reserved the arcade between 5:30 and 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 30th just for members of our communities. Event attendees will enjoy free admission and unlimited game play! Some snacks will be provided, and canned beverages and other concessions are available for purchase at the arcade’s front counter.

Retroactive Arcade is a local business and labor of love featuring well over 50 retro arcade games, pinball machines, and other games of skill. Think Donkey Kong and Galaga, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Street Fighter 2, NBA Jam and Skeeball — all free to play for the evening. No quarters to weigh down your pockets. Just fun times and meaningful community connection.

LTCC celebrates Pride in April (gAyPRIL!) because, by June—the most common month to celebrate LGBTQIA+ people, history, and culture—the college community is working hard to close out the school year strong and there simply isn’t enough energy to do things right.

Bring your authentic self and be ready to connect with your local college, pride, and community ally communities!

NOTES ABOUT PARKING:
Street parking can feel scarce immediately around this venue, but let the current shoulder season alleviate any concerns. That said, here are some suggestions:

1) Be thoughtful and carpool.

2) Be mindful and take public transit: this venue is just steps from the Stateline Transit Center, served by both the 50 and 55 bus lines.

3) Be creative and park in the adjacent neighborhood across Lake Tahoe Blvd. Streets like Manzanita and La Salle often have plentiful street parking. Follow signage and use your best judgement. Use pedestrian crosswalks on Lake Tahoe Blvd. to reach the arcade!

4) Covered arking is sometimes discounted at the City Parking Garage at 1 Bellamy Ct. after 5:00 p.m., but verify before entering.
