The Our Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Reno, Nevada providing a wealth of services for LGBTQ+ youth and teens including trans support groups, teen sex/health education, community building activities, as well as references to professional counseling. They also offer resources for parents/families of LGBTQ+ youth. They are the beneficiary of the Annual Northern Nevada Pride Parade and Festival (also known as Reno Pride). PFLAG Carson is a PFLAG chapter servicing LGBTQ+ individuals in the Carson City area. They offer support groups and resources for youth, teens, and their family/friend allies alike. The LTCC equity program was created to ensure students have access to the academic support, mentorship, and the financial assistance needed to succeed in college. Their initiatives focus on closing the education gap for underrepresented student groups including those who identify as LGBTQ. 4-H Youth Development is an extension program of the University Nevada, Reno for children ages 5 – 19. Participants of the program engage in club and county activities to explore a variety of fun and hands-on interests. kin∙dom community is a queer-led organization creating space for queer belonging and celebration. They strive to provide a safe home of acceptance for LGBTQ folks from a faith-based foundation. Located in Texas, they also host youth/teen summer camps at Zephyr Cove, NV.
